Biography   
Scholarship graduate of the Royal College of Music and current masters student at Trinity College of Music, 22 year old Harry Nowakowski-Fox plays regularly in concerts and competitions throughout the UK and Europe.

Harry started learning the piano in London at the age of five with Penelope Hodgson. Three years later, at the age of eight, he gained a scholarship place for Chetham’s school of Music in Manchester, and began studying with Nigel Pitceathly.

At Chetham’s Harry performed in numerous lunchtime and external concerts around Manchester. At the age of nine he appeared on a television programme directed by Tamsin Day-Lewis entitled “Laying the foundations? which was about learning the technical foundations of piano playing for young students. In 2001, aged 13, he gave his concerto debut with the Rochdale Youth Orchestra, performing Grieg’s Piano concerto in A minor.

In 2003 Harry auditioned for Purcell School of Music in Bushey, Hertfordshire and achieved a place with a scholarship studying under Ilana Davids. At Purcell he performed in numerous concerts including the virtuosic piano part in “Petrushka?" by Strawinsky at the Royal Academy of Music. In 2005 Harry became a foundation scholar at the Royal College of Music and began studying there under Yonty Solomon and Niel Immelman. As a soloist he has received advice from professional pianists such as Andrew Ball, William Fong, James Gibb, Ronan O’Hora, Julian Jacobson, Vanessa Latarche, Hamish Milne, Ruth Nye, Gordon Fergus-Thompson, and Andrew Wilde. In recent auditions Harry gained a scholarship to study Masters in Performance at Trinity College of Music studying under Ilana Davids.

Recent appearances include a live broadcast from the Manhattan School of music for the 2008 Singapore Digital Media Festival and 1st Prize in the concerto class at the Marlow Music festival with Rachmanioff's 2nd piano concerto. This year Harry is supported by the Derek Butler London Scholarship and has recently won an all expenses paid trip to Colorado, USA to perform a concerto with the Lakewood symphony orchestra. Harry is also this years winner of the prestigious Derek Butler London prize in the Wigmore hall. An additional prize after the scholarship already received from the trust.
